Curious tintype, man with a maniacal smile on his face poking out from behind a pedestal and column. Sitting on the top is a small hammer, I think.. This is a ninth-plate (1/9), early-1860s tintype behind mat and glass in its full, intact case. Light age-related darkening, but looks better than my scan when viewed in daylight or strong indoor lighting, and is in overall very good+ antique condition.
