The woman’s magnificent likeness was expertly captured and beautifully hand tinted. The composition is well thought out by the daguerreian operator. The placement of the small floral basket on the left and the large ornate chair on the right help frame this distinguished lady’s portrait. The half plate has been professionally resealed with P90 archival tape and fitted with new glass.
