Rare CDV of a boy named Paddy, by John Thomson (one of the first Western photographers to travel to the Far East) and his brother, William Thomson of Singapore. They were very important photograhers and John was also a geographer and traveller. His brother William was also a watchmaker, as well as a photographer. Lovely picture back showing a magicians wand. Approximately 4″ by 2.5″.
