Antique Daguerreotype Husband Wife Portrait Identified Manchester Vermont Dean
This is an antique daguerreotype photograph of a husband and wife identified as Loring Dean and Marilla Benedict Dean. An internet search reveals that the wife’s name was likely spelled Merrilla and that they resided in Manchester Vermont. Loring’s date of death is listed as 1862 at the age of 71 or 72. The note indicates that they were the parents of W. Russell Dean, first name Walter according to my research. I have a separate listing for a daguerrotype of Water’s daughter Florence Amelia Dean listed, so please check my other auctions for that item. The case measures approximately 3 by 3.5 inches.
