Original Japanese ambrotype photo of a woman holding a fan, housed in its original kiri wood box. Writing is on the inside cover. I believe the date is 1886. The case and the photo are both in very good antique condition, though the pieces don’t fit tightly in the box and should be handled with care. Closed, the case measures 4.5″ x 3.5″.
