Here is a real antique album. For my experience, the cover seems leather cover (picture 1 to 5). Through the USA laws, an item over 100 years means this is an antique. The album still has one photo cabinet card (picture 9, 10, 11) in the album. The cabinet card is an very important evidence to estimate the album was produced before 1880 as the girl was 8. Old in the May of 1880 (picture 11). The album size (picture 4, 5). Length 13.5 cm, width 11 cm, thickness 4.5 cm. The inside cabinet card photo (picture 9) size: length 10.3 cm and width 6.3 cm. The album surface seems a little old as the age but the physical condition is still very good, no significant broken and no damage (picture 1 to 5). Even the amazing lovely lock (picture 3) is still in good working condition. The back side (picture 2) has some stains but it complete doesn’t affect any thing. The inside is clean (picture 7, 8, 9, 12). 2 pages have a little broken (picture 7, 8) but it complete doesn’t affect the function of the frame. Again, the cover seems a leather cover. Because this is a Victorian period album, the leather is probably real animal leather.
