DESCRIPTION: This photograph shows a young girl p osed with a smiling, crescent moon. She sits with her legs draped over the left-facing prop, wearing an outfit that includes socks unevenly rolled down toward her shoes, her hands restlessly in her lap, and she seems a bit scared or unsure of what’s happening. The paper moon has great features and better-than-average details, from the nearly round design to high cheeks that are seldom so accentuated on these studio props. The moon looks down on the girl with bright eyes and a subtle smile of assurance, as if to tell her that everything’s okay. The backdrop is a starry sky.
