The piece is solid 15k yellow gold and has its original patina in tact. The piece has an Etruscan style design with a six pointed, champlevé, royal blue enamel work star. Bead set in the center of the star is a 3.4mm round genuine pearl. On the back there is a removable framed glass panel to facilitate the carry of a small photo or lock of hair. The glass is chipped but still fully functioning. The piece has both a pin on the back (for wear as a brooch) and a short chained bail (for wear as a pendant).
