No key, hat is ex+ cond, no tears or damage, maker marked in top of hat, great steampunk item, or for a collector. The hat must have cost a small fortune when new. As you can see from the pictures it is in excellent shape and very clean. The hair is tight, no shedding, no bald spots, just really nice. If it was not for the wear to the case you could mistake it for much newer. Again it is clean and I would not hesitate to wear it if it. The size is not marked, guessing it was custom made for someone. I carefully measured it and it came out as 7 1/8 in hat size. GLARE ON THE ITEM FROM LIGHTING MAKES IT LOOK LIKE SPOTS OR GLARE.
